We would never have enjoyed ourselves so much if it hadn't been for all your efforts that your company did. I have to praise you o�n all your guides they were all really super, their efficiency, politeness, knowledge and pleasantness were wonderful. I don't believe anyone could have had a better organized tour than the o�ne you arranged for us and honestly I cannot fault anything, the guides, hotels and itinerary were out of this world. I will highly recommend it to any o�ne that I know who plans to visit Vietnam. I have attached some photos that we took and I am sending you another email to break up the photos so the file is not so big and I would appreciate it if you could please forward them on to the relevant guides. Siem reap weather history update
Some people may disagree, but I would also rather watch the sun rise over Angkor in a clear sky than an overcast one. I'll take a clear sky for that sunrise, every day of the week. If you plan on visiting the floating villages or the stilt villages on the Tonle Sap, or the waterfalls at Kbal Spean or Kulen Mountain, this is also a good time of year as the lake and rivers are still relatively full following the rainy season, and generally speaking the countryside is still lush, and the paddy fields a vibrant shade of green. Don't be too worried though if you are about to set for off some winter sun and hear of Cambodia being in the grip of a cold snap as it was when I arrived in Siem Reap for the first time back in 2009. Yes we saw 17C at night and one day the temperature only reached 26C but it was bliss. Such a pleasant winter climate does have its drawbacks, however. It is very much the high season, meaning hotel rates go up, tuk tuk drivers drive a much harder bargain, it can be difficult to find a decent room, and everywhere you go — from temples to restaurants — can be very crowded.

I'm not into wild partying anymore, although I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of the craziness that other backpackers get into. Restaurants and dive bars are more my idea of a fun nightlife. I definitely want to explore some less-touristy areas. Travel History I really haven't done much traveling. I am a backcountry skier, and the last few times I've left the states, I spent all of it in small towns in the alps (Italy and Switzerland), which I absolutely love. This will be my first solo trip. Concerns Weather. I don't really think I'll mind the heat or the rain, but I hear conflicting reports on what it's like to travel in SEA during the wet season. I also think my route is too ambitious. Really wish I had an extra month. Finally, I'd love to ride around on a motorbike, but I've read a lot about scams. Also, the idea of handing over my passport makes me nervous. Current Itinerary Thailand (3-4 weeks): Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Chiang Mai, Pai, Soppong/Pangmapha, Mae Lana, Mae Hong Son, Mae Sariang, Chiang Mai, Chiang Dao, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Chiang Mai.
